Jamie Kim, J.D., LL.M
Jamie’s 15 years of legal experience in the administration of estates and complex trusts adds great value to the First American Trust wealth management team.
As a senior relationship manager, Jamie is responsible for the efficient administration of trusts and investment management accounts for our high-net-worth clients. She provides expert advice and counsels our clients to administer accounts in a manner that ensures compliance with legal requirements as well as business policies and procedures. Her legal perspective and active approach to client engagement assures that the needs of her clients are well served.
Before joining First American Trust, Jamie was an attorney at the Los Angeles law firm of Reish Luftman Reicher & Cohen, APC in their trusts and estates department, where she was responsible for handling the administration of probate and complex trust estates for high-net-worth and high profile clients. Prior to that role, Jamie practiced with the Irvine law firm of Palmieri Tyler Wiener Wilhelm & Waldron, LLP in their trust department. Jamie brings extensive legal expertise in advising trustees during all aspects of trust administration, preparing federal estate tax and gift tax returns, and representing executors and administrators in probate court proceedings.
Jamie received her LLM in Taxation and Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California at Berkeley. She is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section and a past co-chair of the Young Tax Lawyers Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Outside the office, Jamie and her husband enjoy supporting the aspiring baseball activities and careers of their two young sons.
