Beth Vasquez, J.D., LL.M

Beth brings over 17 years of legal experience advising business owners on legal and tax matters and administering estates and complex trusts to her role as Chief Fiduciary Officer, Legal Counsel.

Currently, Beth specializes in assisting First American Trust clients manage closely held business asset interests, while providing continuing oversight of the business’ underlying assets.  Such services allow First American to oversee the continuation of a client’s profitable business for tax and family transfer planning while ensuring the business is properly managed.

Prior to joining First American Trust in 2016, Beth was an attorney in private practice where she advised high-net-worth clients, including many business owners on personal and business related tax matters, business management and developing the client’s personal estate plan.  Beth also assisted clients in the post-mortem administration of probate estates, conservatorship matters, and family trusts, including the preparation of federal estate tax, gift tax and fiduciary income tax returns.

Beth received a Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law, her Juris Doctorate from University of San Diego School of Law, and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Arizona State University.  She is a member of the U.S. Tax Court, State Bar of California, State Bar of Arizona, and Orange County Bar Association.  She sits on the Board for the Trust and Estate Section of the Orange County Bar Association and is Co-President of the Estate Planning Council of South Orange County.
