Melissa Kane

Melissa brings more than 15 years of experience in regulatory compliance, audit, and investigations to her role as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for First American Trust.

Before joining First American Trust, Melissa spent over a decade with First American Title Insurance Company, where she held leadership roles in Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit. Earlier in her career, she was with the fraud investigation practice at Ernst & Young LLP.

Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Applied Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In addition, she is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of California and is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager^® (CRCM^®), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Internal Auditor^® (CIA^®).
