Mr. Serrano brings over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry to First American’s investment division. Previously a portfolio analyst for First American Trust, he is responsible for managing client portfolios, performing various portfolio analyses, and is an integral team member for the firm’s communications and marketing efforts to consultants, institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. He joined First American on June 2003 as a Sales & Marketing Specialist in the firm’s Institutional Marketing group. Prior to joining First American, Mr. Serrano worked as a Registered Representative and Internal Wholesaler of small- to mid-size retirement plans for The Principal Financial Group. Mr. Serrano began his financial service career with legacy firm Security Pacific Bank, Bank of America Private Bank and Banc of America Capital Management, LLC. In his 12 years of combined services there, he held a variety of sales and marketing positions including Vice President – Associate Director of Business Development, Communication Consultant, and Credit Analyst. He is a member of the Professional Association of Communication Investment Resources (PACIR) and is registered with the NASD and holds securities licenses 7, 63 and 65.

Beginning July 1, 2010, First American Trust will no longer participate in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. As a result, after June 30, 2010, funds held in non-interest bearing transaction accounts and IOLTA accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program. However, these accounts will be insured up to $250,000.00 per depositor under the FDIC’s general deposit rules.
